Thunderbolt Test & Maintenance Ltd was founded in November 1995 by Chris Stevenson, who was later joined by Mick Heffernan in 2003. They have a over 70 Years combined experience working within the highly specialised industry of lightning protection to the latest national standards BSEN 62305:2011 & NF C17 103: 2011 and BS7430:2011.
Chris Stevenson is a qualified advanced fitter. He holds City Guilds in Accessing Operations & Rigging for Lightning Protection. One of only two qualified access instructors in the lightning protection industry UK wide. Chris was also an instructor/assuror for Lightning Protection and steeple jacking at the Construction Industry Training College for C.I.T.B.
Mick Heffernan is a qualified advanced fitter, accredited estimator for the new BS62305:2006, and has an HNC in Electrical Engineering.
All of our fitters are accredited lightning protection fitters and hold specialist C.S.C.S. cards, our fitters mates are in the process of becoming accredited specialist C.S.C.S. card holder through the NVQ route. here at Thunderbolt we believe that our work force are our most valued asset and through continued on going development and training, we can provide our clients with the best service possible.
